It is difficult to predict that e-mails will end up in the recipient's spam filter and it is not possible to say exactly why an e-mail is classified as spam.
Sender address
When you set up a new event, you must enter a sender address and an e-mail alias. The sender address is by default set to noreply@trippus.com and we usually recommend that you keep that address and instead "hide" the trippus address with an e-mail alias.
What you enter in the field for an e-mail alias will be what is primarily visible in the recipient's inbox.
Too large mailings
Using Trippus as a system for sending newsletters or other mailings to thousands of recipients is not something we recommend. Large mailings increase the spam risk for the domain trippus.com and should be avoided to the greatest extent possible.
The content of your emails
People usually talk about so-called spam points as virus programs and spam filters "collect" based on how an email is designed and built.
If the total score is high, your email may get stuck in spam filters for some recipients. Sometimes it is moved to the spam folder Spam, sometimes the subject is tagged with [SPAM] and sometimes it does not appear at all. The rules for how the points are counted are often "secret" and change continuously, all so that the suppliers of spam filters can prevent spam and deliver real mailings.
Spam filters can respond to:
- Many CAPITALS.
- Several exclamation marks or question marks one after the other !!!
- If the subject line of the letter is repeated in headings or links in the letter itself.
- Some words, eg viagra, free, dollars, earn, sex, contact.
- Avoid the word "test" - even when testing.
- Too many colors on the text, especially red and green (255,0,0 and similar).
- Long pieces of text with text size below 10p.
- Texts with very large text size.
- Linked URLs e.g. example.se. Use anchor texts: a word or sentence such as "Visit our website" and link this.
- Use Swedish expressions rather than English.
- Never design the email as a single large image.
- The proportion of links and images in relation to each other should be about 50/50.
What do I do if the email sent from admin for my event ends up in the spam?
Feel free to encourage recipients to move the message to your inbox if it is marked as spam, and to add the sender address as a trusted recipient. Then it should end up in the inbox at the next mailing.
