Demand unique email addresses in the registration

To avoid double bookings, you can set it so that it is not possible to book and enter the same email address more than once. It can be set for all categories with confirmed bookings or per category.


This is how you set that it is not possible to register several people with the same email address for the entire event

This setting then validates unique email addresses between all categories that have confirmed bookings (ie not for import, no thanks or unregistered categories.

  1. Log on to the admin for your event 
  2. Go to Settings in the left menu 
  3. Under General settings - check the box for Demand unique email addresses across all registration forms 
  4. Scroll down and click on Save
  5. Now there will be a message appearing in the registration if a person tries to book with an email address that is already used for another booking for the event.

 

How to set that it is not possible to register several people with the same e-mail address per category

This setting then only applies to the selected category and not between others.

  1. Log on to the admin for your event 
  2. Go to Home in the left menu 
  3. Click on the Settings wheel to the right of the name of the category
  4. Click on Flex Settings in the top right menu 
  5. Click on Miscellaneous
  6. Under the heading Registration, tick the box Demand unique booker email address
  7. Click Save at the bottom of the page 
  8. Now there will be a message appearing in the reservation if a person tries to book with an email address that is already used for the category.
