Add a Video Background

To further enhance the experience and appearance of your event registrations, there is now the option to utilize a video background! 

The video you want to use must be uploaded to either Youtube or Vimeo .

It is also important that you ensure that you have the rights to use the video!

The embedded video background can now only be displayed in the registration. Work is ongoing so that the settings below also affect the event pages.

 

Add a video background:

1. In the left menu, click Settings
2. Click Layout in the menu to the right
3. Scroll down to the title "Background Video URL"
4. Click Configure Video
5. Paste the URL (from Youtube or Vimeo)
   1. Tip! Use the URL from the web browser. Do not use the link from the video sharing feature.
6. We recommend you use the pre-filled settings for the best video experience, however you can edit them!
   1. Overlay Color - if you want a color filter, enter a Hex code in this field
   2. Overlay Opacity - if you are using the overlay color, you can set how much or little the color overlays (scale of 0-1). A low value will show the color faintly, while the high value will show more color.
   3. Scale - you can choose to scale up or down your video. The preset value is 1, which means the video is displayed as 'normal'. Changing the value to negative makes it "zoom out" which a positive value "zooms in"
   4. Start time - Enter a value (in seconds) for for where you'd like your video to start at. The preset value is 0, meaning the video is played from the beginning. 
   5. Muted - Select here if you'd like the sound/music from the video to be muted. We recommend you keep this muted, but it's up to you!
7. Click Save
